If your lifestyle is more important to you, then sticking together, there’s no reason why temporarily splitting up is not a valid choice, as long as both partners are in agreement. Planning how to cover shortfalls in income, with credit cards, personal loans, or an online check advance, is something that should be discussed and budgeted ahead of time. The hows and whys of debt techniques should be a joint decision, particularly, if the decision to maintain a lifestyle is paramount. If keeping the cable television is important to the comfort level of the relationship, and that is unaffordable now, then eventually the decision will have to be to either create more income or let a partner go to an area where job opportunities are better.
